 Get a glimpse of Venice, the bright colors of Burano and the welcome of a fishing village. Here is let off Caorle, that steals your heart with his old town that looks straight out of a postcard.

This race allows us to know this beautiful town and its surroundings. After the first few kilometers pedaled on bike path, we walk the historic center of Caorle where we admire the millenary dome and the majestic cylindrical tower. Read more

  La Cattedrale è del 1038 e la facciata ospita due bassorilievi di scuola bizantina. Raggiungiamo la Chiesa della Madonna dell'Angelo, eretta intorno al 1000, conserva la statua lignea della Vergine Maria e la pietra su cui sedeva, quando dei pescatori la videro galleggiare sulle onde dell'Adriatico e la raccolsero.
Proseguiamo per il lungomare fino a raggiungere la laguna. Questa laguna è stata vissuta, amata e descritta da Ernest Hemingway nel suo libro "Di là dal fiume e tra gli alberi", scritto nel 1948.
Alla nostra destra, lungo tutta la riva ammiriamo i "casoni", edifici grezzi, a base rettangolare, con un unico locale, e tetto in canne essicate posate su graticci di legno. I pescatori, con le loro famiglie, vivevano qui per due-tre mesi all'anno, durante i periodi di migrazione delle anguille.
Ci dirigiamo adesso nell'entroterra, superiamo il Ponte delle Bilance, il ponte di barche sul fiume Piave, risaliamo il piave fino ad Eraclea per poi tornare nei pressi di Caorle dove concludiamo la corsa.

The Cathedral is the year 1038 and the facade has two bas-reliefs of the Byzantine school. We reach the Church of Madonna dell'Angelo, built around the year 1000, it preserves the wooden statue of the Virgin Mary and the stone on which She sat, when the fishermen saw it floating on the waves of the Adriatic and the gathered.

We continue along the seafront until you reach the lagoon. This lagoon was lived, loved and described by Ernest Hemingway in his book "Across the River and into the Trees", written in 1948.
To our right, along the shore we admire the "casoni", crude buildings, with a rectangular base, with one room, and roof made of dried reeds laid on wooden racks. The fishermen and their families, lived here for two-three months a year, during periods of migration of eels.

Now we head inland, we get over the bridge "ponte delle Bilance", the pontoon bridge over the river Piave, go back to the Piave at Eraclea then return near Caorle where we conclude the race.
