Il punto di partenza di questo classico e impegnativo tour è Bagneres-de-Luchon. Dopo pochi chilometri la strada comincia a salire. The staring point of this tour is Bagneres-de-Luchon. Just after few kilometers the first climb of the day, Col de Peyresourde, begins. Col de Peyresourde was listed by Le Cycle Magazine as one of the 30 most beautiful climbs in France and it's a classic that’s featured more than 50 times in the Tour de France. Read more

La salita presenta un dolce e ondulato profilo tra il 4 e 8 % che ci permette di apprezzare a fondo il paesaggio. Superato il colle affrontiamo la discesa e il tratto pianeggiante che porta ad Arreau.
Inizia da qui la seconda fatica di giornata, il Col d'Aspin, conosciutissimo dai ciclisti e molto frequentato dal Tour de France. Dopo un paio di chilometri facili, le pendenze si fanno un pò più impegnative. Superato un largo tornante nei pressi di Aspin-Aure la strada presenta pendenze impegnative che però ci consentono di apprezzare il magnifico paesaggio. Prima di quanto ci aspettiamo, raggiungiamo la vetta e iniziamo la discesa. La strada continua senza altre difficoltà poi fino a St.Marie de Campan dove la corsa si conclude. Torna su
The ascent is just over 13 km in length with a gently undulating profile, between four to eight per cent gradient that allows you to take in the scenery as it’s intended with clear views of the surrounding mountains.
After two easy kilometers, the climb gets a little harder, but this is only temporary, because until Aspin-Aure gradients remain very human.
After the wide bend near Aspin-Aure, the climb becomes steeper. You keep on climbing however with a view of the beautiful surroundings and that's what makes the Aspin so attractive. Faster than expected you reach the top of the col where you have to watch out for accrued cows and other animals.
